After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie.

She said, "I love you, but I know that another person loves you as well, and she wants to stay with you."

The woman my wife wants me to meet is my mother, who has been a widow for 19 years, but because of my busy business and three children at home, I can only visit her once in a while.

That night I called my mother and invited her to go out to dinner and go to the movies.

"what's the matter, son? are you all right?"

She asked.

My mother is such a person that a late-night phone call or an unexpected invitation will make her worry that something bad will happen.

"I'd like to ask you out for a while."

I said, "just the two of us."

She thought for a moment and then said, "I'm glad to be there."

I was a little nervous when I drove to pick her up after work that Friday.

When I arrived at my mother's house, I saw that she, like me, seemed a little uncertain about the reunion.

She had newly curled hair and stood waiting for me at the door in her coat, which she wore on her last wedding anniversary.

My mother smiled at me, her face glowing like an angel.

"I told my friends that I was going out with my son, and they were very moved."

As she got on the bus, my mother said, "they're looking forward to our get-together, too."

Mother took my arm as the first lady.

After sitting down, I looked at the menu.

Mother's eyes can only see big characters.

I looked up and saw my mother sitting there gazing at me, the old days and feelings of love crawling up to her lips.

"When you were young, I used to look at the menu and order."

She said.

"then it's your turn to relax, and it's my turn to serve you."

I replied.

During the meal, we talked to each other very much, but we talked for a long time, and as a result, we missed the movie.

When we got back to her place, she said, "I'll go out with you next time, but I must invite you."

I gladly agreed.

"How was your dinner date?"

When I got home, my wife asked me.

"good, much better than I thought!"

I said.

A few days later, my mother died of a heart attack.

The grief came so suddenly that I didn't have time to do anything for her.

Later, I received a letterhead with a receipt from the restaurant where my mother and I dined last time, and a small note that read: "I have paid the bill in advance because I am not sure if I will be there at that time, but anyway, I paid for both of you, your share and your wife's share."

Son, you have no idea how much that night meant to me.

I love you. "

At that moment, I finally realized how important it is to say "I love you" in time and how important it is to give our loved ones the happy time they deserve.

What in the world is more important than family?

Be sure to give your family the time they deserve, because it can't be delayed and "another day".
